1849. Edinburgh: William Blackwood & Sons, 1849. 8vo, xxxi, 334 pp. Full polished calf, ruled in gilt, with glit-decorated spine in six compartments. Endpapers and all edges marbled. Lacks the contrasting leather spine-label (a fragment remains), but the label information persists as a blind-stamp in the underlying leather. Signs of a library label removal near the base of the spine. Ex-library, with a donation bookplate on f.f.e.p. and library label on r.p.e.p. Overall a nice copy, somewhat rubbed at exremities with tear to calf at head of spine on front board; internally very sound.
